Message from the General Manager

"Cosumnes Community Services District fills a unique role in the lives of nearly 215,000 residents in the Elk Grove and Galt region. I'm pleased to lead the accredited programming of our Parks & Recreation Department and Fire Department, providing strategic services to the community. Working with the Board, our dedicated staff, and community partners helps advance our mission, enhance high-quality services, and ensure Cosumnes CSD remains a cornerstone of safety and quality recreation for the region."

About the General Manager

Cosumnes Community Services District appointed Tim Ogden as its General Manager/CEO in April 2025 following a nationwide search. In this role, Mr. Ogden oversees the Special District's fire protection and emergency medical services in southern Sacramento County, Elk Grove, and Galt, as well as its parks and recreation programs in Elk Grove. He works closely with the Board of Directors to implement the District's strategic vision and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the community. 

Mr. Ogden is an experienced municipal leader with a strong track record in city management, economic development, and community engagement. He recently served as City Manager in Brentwood, CA, and previously held the same position in Manteca, CA, and Waterford, CA. Throughout his nearly 25-year career, he has led cities with fire departments, worked closely with fire districts, and managed major park and trail projects, as well as regional economic development and capital improvement projects.
