Benefit Zone 11 - East Elk Grove, benefits from nine parks totaling 41 acres. East Elk Grove continues to build out with future plans for Wright Park Phase II, Derr-Okamoto Park Phase II. Many parks are linked by either off-street trails or on-street bike lanes.
Projects
Listed below are the projects staff anticipate completing in Fiscal Year 2025-2026. Projects are subject to change due to weather and/or unforeseen budgetary changes.
Two multipurpose fields will go offline for renovation at Strong and Simpson Parks.
The soccer field will go offline for renovation at Derr Park.
Landscape bark will be applied to planter beds in areas where needed.
Landscape renovations to replace missing or poor performing plants resulting in beautified community landscape areas as needed.
Irrigation controllers will be replaced in areas where needed.
The poured in place (PIP) playground surface at Berens, Fleming and Lewis Parks will be resealed.
PebbleFlex playground surface resealing will be completed at Wright Park.
Playground Engineered Wood Fiber will be added to parks where needed to maintain a safe depth.
